Cucumis melo. Open Pollinated. Ogen Israel Melon. The plant produces heavy yields of 3 to 4 lb melons with pale yellow skins and steaks of green. The melons have a pale green flesh. It has exceptional taste, is very sweet, and is very fragrant. It will grow in just about any climate. The crack-resistant fruits are perfect for the farmer's market. Excellent choice for home gardens and specialty market growers. Also known as Ha'ogen Melon. It is thought to have originated from Israel but may be an old heirloom from Hungary.
